Gooding & Co has this 1959 Autobianchi Bianchina listed at their Scottsdale Auction for the weekend of January 21 and 22. No indication of what day it will go up but they estimate it at $70-$90K. Perhaps they are extremely optimistic or have it confused with a different vehicle? Time will tell.
UPDATE: Apparently Sold for a Hammer Price of $75,000
Russo & Steele has this 1951 Crosley SuperSport HotShot scheduled for sometime that week as well.
UPDATE: Apparently Sold for a Hammer Price of $10,000

A few years ago, French photographer Sacha Goldberger found his 91-year-old Hungarian grandmother Frederika feeling lonely and depressed. To cheer her up, he suggested that they shoot a series of outrageous photographs in unusual costumes, poses, and locations. Grandma reluctantly agreed, but once they got rolling, she couldn’t stop smiling.
See if you can spot the Zündapp Janus in the trailer for the new CARS movie from PIXAR.
Unlike the previous film this is not a “blend” of several microcars, it seems to be a rather accurate depiction of the vehicle (except for the addition of the monocle….). Oh and the Janus also appears to be a “bad guy”. Whoo Hoo! Hope they find a use for the rear door. Perhaps he is “two-faced”? Hat Tip to Larry Claypool for the heads up.
