Why do we love Isettas?
This video pretty much sums it up. What other car could you make a video like this with?
What is a bit astonishing is that this was made by the BMW Museum in Munich.
Listen to the lyrics and in particular to ” …without you I would never rise again”
Does this mean BMW is finally acknowledging the Isetta’s place in their history as “the car that saved BMW”?
Maybe it is just coincidence but this commercial is all stop-motion animation with KinToy Isettas zipping about, having fun and mixing it up with all the other BMW marques as well as modern day traffic. To think they just randomly selected a song to run in the background is difficult to believe.
What do you think?

My father purchased an Isetta for my brother at age 14 in 1963 to drive us to school in Fordyce, Arkansas. Since only a motorcycle license was required, he was legal! It was great fun at the time, and I’ll never forget the semi-truck driver that tried to scare us silly by pulling up almost over us as we waited to turn left off the highway one day. It was thrilling?????!!! Believe me, not much happened in tiny Fordyce, Arkansas, way back then for teens or anyone.

Folks, I’m sorry if I am posting in the wrong slot. I photographed a restored Isetta & posted a pic story on my (London, England) local-news site Loving Dalston. If my report is inaccurate or if u want to comment, pls do so at lovingdalston.blogspot.com. I’m no expert and have not yet spoken to the Isetta’s owner, so I may have got something wrong.
