This is one of the Four Motor mounts.

It is not supposed to be all cracked like that. It is about to pull apart and fail.

Here is another Motor Mount that is about to fail.

When it fails, the engine will collapse onto the pavement.

This is the Fuel Filler opening.

What you can't see is all the gunk and varnish floating around.

What probably happened is that this car sat with gas in the tank for many many years. The gas evaporated leaving behind solid material that stuck to the sides of the tank. Apparently no one bothered to clean out the tank before putting new Gas in. It takes a few weeks, but the Fresh Gas will eventually loosen up all that old Crud that was stuck to the Tank and now it floats around and it will try to get into the Fuel line and clog it, if that doesn't happen, it will make it's way to the Carburetor, where it will clog things up good. This tank must be removed and cleaned thoroughly, as well as all other elements of the Fuel System.

Nice Restoration Job!

This line shows the Non-Existent tube that connects the Air Inlet at the back of the car to the Non-Existent Air Cleaner Canister.
This is what the Driver's side Front Suspension looks like

45 years of oil and dirt caked on it. This was never dis-assembled to Restore the Suspension or replace any of the Rubber Bushings.

Here is a closer pic of the Brake Plate in the above pic.

This thing has not been touched, the rubber bushing at the bottom is dry-rotted and cracked.

And just so it doesn't feel left out, here is the Passenger side Front Suspension.

Again, nothing appears to have been touched.

Don't want to disturb that Dirt now!
